Although not an official or religious holiday in Thailand, Christmas is a big commercial holiday. …

Especially evident at large international shopping malls, elaborate Christmas decorations go up in December, everything from Christmas trees with gift-wrapped (fake) presents, inflatable Santas, giant candy canes, Christmas markets, Christmas-themed foods, Christmas music piped through the loudspeakers everywhere, Christmas carolers caroling, toy displays, and more! People join in on the festivities by wearing their Christmas attire: red and green dresses, ugly sweaters, and the ever-popular headwear of Santa hats, reindeer antlers, mini-Christmas trees, bowties, or whatever Christmas-y decoration you want put on your head!
