The major attractions, along with the main train station, are north around Kokura Station. There’s not much outside the area to draw the typical visitor away from city center. Still, I took a short ride to Tokuriki Kōdanmae Station near the Shii River where it would have been a good place to view cherry blossoms. Unfortunately, the season had passed.
