Discovered a different version of pad thai: pad thai crispy wontons, ผัดไท เกี๊ยวกรอบ, at a food court in Bangkok, Thailand. [*Now with food words.] …

Not the standard rice noodles here. It’s the pad thai sauce with shredded chicken, mixed with fried wonton wrappings. Not the stuffed wontons, only the wonton skins. But pork fried wontons can be found only a few stalls away.

Pad thai crispy wontons is written as ผัดไท เกี๊ยวกรอบ (pad thai kiao grop). Pad thai is ผัดไทย.

Crispy wontons is เกี๊ยวกรอบ (kiao grop).
